The Third International Symposium on Sigma-2 Receptors

In 2018, Cognition's Fourth International Symposium on Sigma-2 Receptors was held as a satellite symposium of the Society for Neuroscience’s Annual ‘Neuroscience 2018’ conference held in San Diego, CA. Sigma-2 receptors have been implicated in central nervous system disorders ranging from anxiety and depression to Alzheimer’s disease. This satellite symposium reviewed the role of the sigma‑2 receptor in the neurobiology of health and disease and examined controversies still present in this emerging field.
